Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be both exciting and stressful. There is a lot involved nowadays with planning a Disney trip, whether it be fast passes, magic bands, or dinner reservations. I am a little bit of a Walt Disney nerd myself, and though I can’t get to the parks as often as I would like, I have learned a few Disney top tips to help you! Here they are.
Disney Top Tips 1:
Download and really utilize the My Disney Experience app. It’s a great tool both before your trip and while you’re in the parks. You can use the app to book and change fast passes, make meal reservations, check wait times, and even see where the bathrooms are in the park you are in.
Disney Top Tips 2:
Bring a filtering water bottle into the parks. You can get water for free at any quick serve restaurant, and there are water fountains in the park, but Florida tap water isn’t the best water in my opinion. We took Brita soft bottles with a built in filter in the lid on our last trip, and it really became useful through the whole trip.
Disney Top Tips 3:
Bring in your own snacks! You are allowed to bring in outside food and drinks, so take advantage of that if you’re looking for a way to save money. Bring fruit, snacks, or even sandwiches to save on money and time (think about snacking while in line for a ride instead of waiting in a line for food!).
Disney Top Tips 4:
Decide on the things that you consider to be “must-dos to have a good trip”. Whether that be certain rides, restaurants, or character meet and greets- decide what to do ahead of time. If you go to Magic Kingdom, it’s impossible to do everything and see everything in 1 or even 2 days. Picking out what you have to do prevents disappointment and helps you prioritize your fast passes and path around the park.
Disney Top Tips 5:
Bring in an extra power bank to charge your phone and other electronic devices. There are almost no available electric outlets in the parks, so finding somewhere to charge your phone could be difficult, and time consuming. Stick one of these in your park bag, and you can charge on the go.
Disney Top Tips 6:
Take advantage of the photographers in the parks! You don’t have to buy the pictures they take- they are more than happy to take pictures on your cell phone. However, photo passes often have a sweet surprise in them, so don’t discount buying their pictures as well! You can have access to the pictures they take online, and you can either buy them individually, or purchase a Memory Maker to have access to all of your trip pics!
