Isn’t this the cutest little Mummy Pumpkin you’ve ever seen?!?
Yeah, me, too!
My daughter and I were in one of my favorite retail outlets, when we saw different-sized carvable pumpkins next to a selection of boxed embellishments.
One of them contained multi-colored spikes; another could turn the pumpkin into a cat shape.
One even came with with stickers to change the chosen pumpkin into a dinosaur.
(I’m not sure what a dino has to do with Halloween, but okay).
She selected the Mummy box, which came complete with eyes, glasses, mouths, a mustache, and gauze, of course.
What’s a mummy without gauze?

Also included were self-adhesive foam dots, which made this craft extremely easy and fast, perfect for young children.
Mummy Pumpkin Assembly:
First, my daughter affixed the eyes to the pumpkin and then glasses.
After looking at the glasses, which were purple, she decided against them.
Next, she added his mouth.
The gauze came last and took the just a few minutes to wrap around the pumpkin.
The great part about this craft is that, no matter how your child chooses to decorate it, the mummy will still look authentic.
In less than ten minutes, she had made the perfect mummy for our front doorstep!
The total cost for our mummy was $13, including the pumpkin.
Money well spent for a decoration we can use every year.
Have fun making your own!
