Warm, Delicious, & Healthy Spinach and Artichoke Dip Appetizer

This easy spinach and artichoke dip is definitely a go-to appetizer for any game day!

It is delicious, healthy, and a real crowd pleaser.

It is mouth-watering and everything I like about dips.

The real plus to this appetizer is that it is healthier than most dips.

It is served warm and is so easy to make.

Even though it is creamy and cheesy on the inside, it still has fewer calories and fat than most appetizers.

This spinach and artichoke dip is an appetizer I use frequently when I’m entertaining.

The required ingredients are simple, and it only takes about 45 minutes to make.

It is easier if you lay out the ingredients prior to the preparation.

After you have combined the sour cream, pepper, minced garlic, drained & chopped artichoke hearts,

drained & chopped spinach and the softened cream cheese in a large bowl,

stir until well-blended.

Now add the shredded mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese to the mixture and stir well.

Next, spoon the mixture into a 1 ½ quart glass or ceramic baking dish.

Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the remaining parmesan cheese.

Preheat the oven and bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes or until it is bubbly.

I serve my healthy spinach and artichoke dip with crackers or crumbled loaf bread.

This dish is a always a big time winner!

It is warm, delicious, and  so GOOD!

Ingredients
  1. ½ cup of fat-free sour cream
  2. ¼ teaspoon of pepper
  3. 2-3 fresh garlic cloves that have been minced
  4. 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts that have been drained and chopped
  5. 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach that has been thawed and drained
  6. 2 (8 ounce) packages of fat free cream cheese that has been softened
  7. (6 ounces) part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese and divided (about 1 ½ cups)
  8. 1 ounce of parmesan cheese, grated and divided (about ¼ cup)
Instructions
  1. After you have combined the sour cream, pepper, minced garlic, drained & chopped artichoke hearts,
  2. drained & chopped spinach and the 2 packages of softened cream cheese in a large bowl
  3. stir until well-blended.
  4. Now add 1 cup (4 ounces) of the shredded mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons of the parmesan cheese to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Next, spoon the mixture into a 1 ½ quart glass or ceramic baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the remaining parmesan cheese.
  7. Preheat the oven and bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes or until it is bubbly.
Notes
  1. Great Tip: I serve my healthy spinach and artichoke dip with crackers or crumbled loaf bread.
