The Incredibles 2 Review
The Incredibles 2 comes out a whopping 14 years after the first Incredibles movie, and honestly, it was so worth it.
The Incredibles 2 story picks up immediately after the first one ends, with the attack by the Undertaker. The Parr family fights the Undertaker, and in the process, wreak havoc on the city. The police and the public are ungrateful got their help; but one man steps up to save the Supers. Elastagirl becomes the new face of a bill that will allow the Supers to come out of hiding. Mr. Incredible, however, is left at home with the kids.
This movie was funny and well-written. The scenes with Jack-Jack really make the movie. His many powers flummox his father, leading Bob to leave Jack-Jack with Edna Mode – my favorite part of the movie. Many new Supers are introduced, although given little screen time.
The ending was a tad predictable, with a fairly obvious bad guy. The kids step up to save the day, and the Supers are allowed to come out of hiding.

Also of note: one of the characters curses a few times, which I thought was interesting for a kid’s movie. Maybe I’m out of touch, but it surprised me.
By the way, did you know that The Incredibles takes place in the 1960s? I noticed it much more in this movie than in the first one with the level of technology (old TVs, cameras, and phones) and fashion. Pretty neat!
