Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2020

Full disclosure: This visit occurred nearly three week ago, before Disney closed its parks.

Hey Divas!

Over the weekend, I went for the first weekend of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. I
look forward to this festival every year, as it is my 2nd favorite Disney event all year!

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2020

The flowers and topiaries completely transform Epcot into a spring wonderland, and I love all
the amazing food and drink offerings every year.

(Did you miss my post about the new Rise of the Resistance ride?)

Here’s a few of my favorite things from the festival (so far!):

1. Violet Lemonade- Of course, this will always be on the list. Violet lemonade is one of the
staples of the Flower and Garden Festival; this is the drink you always see Instagram
bloggers posting. It’s delicious and beautiful- perfect for hot days and pretty pictures.
2. Bauernmarkt booth- The German booth is always one of my favorites, and has a lot of
good selections. I had the potato pancakes with applesauce, pretzel roll with ham and
melted gruyere cheese, and Apfelschaumvein. The pancakes were delicious, as always,
as was the pretzel roll. The Apfelschaumvein is a sparkling wine with apple liquor, and
was very good. Apple anything always pairs well with German food, and it was sweet
without being overbearing.
3. Orange Blossom Honey Wine- I always love the honey wine, and it was super delicious
this year as well. It’s a sweet white wine, almost more like a mead. It is definitely a small
glass, but the price point is not bad. I definitely recommend this one.
4. Grilled street corn- This one was good, but the garlic butter topping was definitely a
strong choice. I feel like this could have been just a little better if they had used a touch
less garlic- and this is coming from the garlic queen! But overall, it was pretty good!
A couple of not so favorite things:
1. Crispy citrus chicken with orange aioli- This one sounded good in theory, but was not a
good choice in my opinion. It was too citrus-y, and the chicken was slightly raw inside.
Not a good choice for me!
2. La Regina Margherita- The flatbread from the Italy pavilion was disappointing this year.
Last year’s was so delicious I had it twice, but this year was lackluster due to non-flavor.

This was just a small taste of the massive selection of food and drinks to try when you go.
There’s plenty for kids and plenty for those with more refined palates, as well as drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

My next visit I hope to try a few more things from my list and take more pictures of the amazing topiaries!
